St. Jeromes Church Grouping

This was a commission done for St. Jeromes Catholic Church, in Bowie, Texas. They have a very nice Sanctuary that they wanted to furnish with a simple yet strong design. This was accomplished with the use of White Oak as the principle material and simple curves as a design element to give the furnishings a powerful presence. All the pieces were finished with hand rubbed oil.

The grouping includes:
Six and eight foot upholstered Kneelers with hymnal shelves.
The Alter table features a hand carved front panel and a floating paneled top.
The Lectern again features the hand carved front panel with the simple curves prominent in the side panels.
The Chair also has the hand carved Cross in the coopered back and a sculpted seat, that even though is firm, The Priest says is "very comfortable".
Wall hangings denoting the Stations Of The Cross.
A Sacrement Cart again uses the simple curves to match the grouping.
A second smaller cart used for general purposes in the Sanctuary.
And an Audio Video Cart used in the classrooms.

This commission was very pleasing and meaningful to build, and as all of my commissions have provided, has led me to wonderful people who have become special friends!
